The Fact that They Make Up the Majority of the Society does not Indicate the Reliability of Their Rationale
The Qur’an provides another important fact about the ignorant societies: they always constitute the majority of the population as compared to the community of believers. The Qur’an informs us that the believers are always in the minority:
Yet strive as you may, most men will not believe. Surah Yusuf: 103
But for a few of them, they have no faith. Surah An-Nisa: 46
And most of them believe in Allah only when they can attribute partners (to Him). Surah Yusuf: 106
Surely this is not a coincidence but a special situation created deliberately by Allah for a certain cause. That believers are in the minority makes their virtuous conduct even more precious in this world. Furthermore, this is a factor enhancing their rewards in the Hereafter. This world surely has a lure as an essential part of the trial by Allah. Nevertheless, if concern for the Hereafter takes complete hold of one’s mind and, in consequence, one’s actions, one would surely be superior to the majority deceived by the attraction of worldly goods.
Besides, this is an important matter of trial for unbelievers. For the majority of the people it is customary to follow the general way of doing things in society. They simply take it for granted that the general attitude of the society is the righteous one. The same rationale further holds that the majority represents the absolute truth while the standpoint of the minority is to be approached with doubt and concern. Our point, put briefly, is: when summoned to the true path, by the guidance of Allah, people in a state of ignorance refuse to comply with this call on the flimsy pretext that it does not conform with the recognised social order. However, popular acceptance can by no means be an argument for truth.
This social criterion is surely nothing but an unsound judgment of the aforementioned crude understanding. Ignorant people make up the majority of the community merely because they all turn away in total ungratefulness from their Creator, simply prefering this world to the next. Surely those who adopt the attitude of such a society merely deceive themselves.

Do you give out and collect business cards at networking events or when you are introduced to a new friend? What do you usually do with these cards?

Write notes at the back of the card to help you remember important points such as date you receive the card, how do your new friend looks like, what do you plan to do with this contact, his hobby and his family history (if interesting).
Collect several cards from each contact to make referrals later. Eventually, your new friend becomes your good friend.
If you prefer to do manual records, you can consider sliding an empty card behind each business card to record your contact history with that person (when you called, did you make referrals, when was the last time you met them etc.).

- those whom you want to build relationship and maintain contact with, and

Are You In It For The Long Haul?
Do you own a home business? Now I'm not talking about the twice yearly yard sale. I am talking about a legitimate home based business. It doesn't matter what type of business you are running affiliate marketing, ecommerce website, ebay auctions, etc.). The question remains the same: Are you in it for the long haul?
What exactly is the "long haul" you may ask? I consider the long haul sticking with something long enough to truly determine if it is something that is going to work for you.

Well if you are like me, you know some one that has tried their hand at everything. Now don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with checking out different ways to have a home based business. Owning your own business is a GREAT thing.
What I am talking about here is that person that gets into something for a few weeks or months, quits or drops out, then starts something new just to find that this new thing is not what they are looking for either. On top of this, a lot of times this person will tell everyone they know that none of these programs or businesses are any good.
Now as I said, there is nothing wrong with "kicking the tires" to see what is out there. The big thing is when you find something, give it an HONEST effort.
How long this honest effort may take can only be determined by you and the program you are promoting or the business you are starting. Go into it with an open mind. (TIP: There are NO "Sit back and do nothing and get rich overnight" opportunities).
Understand what you are getting involved with and determine your goals. Once you have these goals in place, HONESTLY work your business. If you fail to reach your set goals, step back and look at where you are. This will give you a good idea if this business is going to get you where you want to be.
Don't get me wrong. I am by no means telling you to stick with something that is OBVIOUSLY not working. None of us are in business to lose money. Just remember that building a STRONG home business can take a lot of work and a lot of time. It is not something to be taken lightly.
In closing let me say that if you are a "tire kicker" and jump from one "sure thing" to the next, do us all a favor. If you don't give the program or business an HONEST effort and enough time to truly determine what you have, don't go around spreading "how bad this or that program" is. Let others make up their own minds. What may not have worked for you, may be that "sure thing" for some one else.

Doing Something Is Better Than Doing Nothing!
I hear from a lot of people who want to get started in their own work at home business ideas. But, they're not getting started. They're waiting. For what? Lots of things.
Some people are waiting for the right time to get started. They're not sure when that is, but they expect to know when it comes.
Some people are waiting until they've learned everything about their particular line of business.
Some people are waiting for their potential partner to get ready to start.
And, frankly, some people don't know why they're waiting.
It's time to stop waiting and start doing.
Now. Today. This very minute. Here are the facts . . .
Forget about waiting for the right time. There is no right time other than now.
Forget about learning everything. You and I (and everyone else) will never learn everything. It's impossible.
If your partner isn't ready now, then maybe this is not the right partner for you. Your life is passing you by while you're waiting.
The longer you wait, the older you get. The more you miss out on the good things in life. The things you are waiting to get.
I understand that many of you are worried about doing the wrong thing. You probably will. But, you're likely to do that anyway.
Thomas Watson - CEO of IBM back in the day - had this advice: Increase your rate of failure and you'll become successful faster. You see, everyone screws up. The quicker you do it, the faster it's over with.
You have to remember that if you want more out of life, you have to put yourself in a position to get it.
According to the emails I get and the people I meet, the average person wants more out of life.
Why don't they just go get it? Because they are not in a position to do anything about it.
Most people do not control their own destiny. They are subject to the whims of some employer. Their financial growth is limited to a 4% annual salary increase.
These people can yearn for more - forever. They're not going to get it. Because they are not in a position to get more.
If they want a new car, they can't get it because they can't afford the higher car payment. If they want to take a vacation, they can't do it because they have no way to earn the extra money.
If you want to really enjoy life, you have to be in a position to control your financial future.
When you hear that you can make easy money working an online Internet business, remember that the word "work" is in there. It does, and will always, take some effort to acquire anything.
The phrase is "work at home business" not "goof off at home business." There are substantial gains and advantages for having your own automated Internet business running 24/7 without it requiring your constant attention. But it will require some work. And the first thing necessary is to GET STARTED!
Here's an awesome example: Eric, my partner in one of my Internet business, informed me this week that he "needs more money because there's a lot of stuff he wants to buy soon."
Unlike the average person, Eric is in a position to make this happen. He sat down with me to outline a plan to increase our sales in the next 30 days. Since he earns a healthy chunk of the profits, he will follow this plan and put more cash in his pockets.
Of course, many of you figure that Eric has it easy because he works with me. You're right. He does have it easy now. Of course, he invested 8,000 hours of his life over the last 2 years into this business to get in this position. He's earned the right to be here.
If you're not happy with your current situation, then do something about it! Change your position. Get in control of your life.
